Frances Wang Deveney is a Principal in the firm's Professional Liability Department and Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Group. She defends numerous health care providers, including physicians, nurses, hospitals, long-term care and assisted living facilities, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dentists, physical therapists, and chiropractors at trials, mediations, arbitrations, and board matters. She has also represented various non-medical professionals including attorneys, accountants, insurance carriers, brokers, and architects in her career.
Ms. Deveney also is a member of the firm’s Employment & Employee Relations Practice Group and has successfully defended employers in federal and state courts involving various employment claims including disability accommodation, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and whistleblower claims, among others. These matters include EEOC Charges of Discrimination and litigated matters at both the trial and appellate level as well as matters submitted to alternative dispute resolution.
Ms. Deveney's over 20 years of experience includes all aspects of litigation including trial and appellate work. She has represented clients before the New Jersey Supreme Court on multiple occasions and has several published cases. She also has successfully defended class action lawsuits in a myriad of subjects.
