Bio
Joana Gaizelyte-Lacy is an Associate in the firm's Professional Liability Department and Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Group. She counsels and defends healthcare providers, including hospitals, physician groups, individual physicians, physician assistants, midwives, nurses, nurses' aides, therapists, administrators, outpatient clinics and skilled nursing facilities.
An experienced litigator, Ms. Gaizelyte-Lacy contributes at all stages of litigation, from initial client encounters through assistance at trial. She also defends and counsels clients at depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
Prior to joining Post & Schell, Ms. Gaizelyte-Lacy was an associate with regional law firms where she also defended medical malpractice cases. In addition, she represented clients in a diverse practice of law, including personal injury, business, insurance, immigration, and employment matters.
Ms. Gaizelyte-Lacy is fluent in both Lithuanian and Russian. She has served on various committees and leadership roles in the local, national, and international level for the Lithuanian community.
