Ira W. Bushman Joins Post & Schell as a Principal in the Firm's Professional Liability Department


Philadelphia, PA - December 12, 2023 - Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that Ira W. Bushman has joined the firm as a Principal in the firm's Professional Liability Department and Medical Malpractice Litigation Practice Group in the firm's Philadelphia, PA office. He joins Post & Schell from the law firm of Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci P.C.

For over 40 years, Mr. Bushman has counseled and defended physicians, nurses, medical professionals, hospitals, and health systems in matters involving alleged malpractice and/or negligence, catastrophic injuries, and significant financial exposure. This includes representing and defending one of the Philadelphia region's premier health systems for over three decades in related matters.

Mr. Bushman defends clients in jurisdictions throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and has had extraordinary success arguing before Pennsylvania's appellate courts. Mr. Bushman previously served as a Judge Pro Tem and Settlement Master for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas

In 2004 and 2006, he was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the category of Medical Malpractice. He also holds Martindale Hubbell's highest rating of "AV", for professional excellence in both legal ability and ethics. He is a graduate of Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law and holds his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University.
