Jim Malone Becomes Chair of the Tax Section and a Member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association
Philadelphia, PA – January 6, 2021 – Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that, effective January 1, 2021, Principal James R. Malone, Jr. became the Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Tax Section. As Chair of the Tax Section, Malone will also serve as a Member of the Association’s Board of Governors. He formerly served as the Vice-Chair of the Tax Section.
The Philadelphia Bar Association’s Tax Section studies and makes recommendations to appropriate legislative, executive, administrative, and judicial authorities regarding any existing or proposed law, regulation, ruling, or procedure relating to federal, state, or local taxation. The Section also promotes continuing education for members, including workshops, seminars and meetings, and provides liaison with local representatives of the IRS and state and local tax authorities.
As a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Board of Governors, Mr. Malone will help further the Association’s mission of serving the legal profession and the public by promoting justice, professional excellence, and respect for the rule of law.
Mr. Malone is a Principal in the firm’s Tax Controversy Practice Group, representing clients in disputes with federal, state, and local tax authorities in both administrative proceedings and in court. His clients include businesses, non-profits, individual taxpayers, accountants, and tax preparers.
