Joseph N. Bongiovanni IV Reappointed to a Three-Year Term as a Hearing Committee Member of the PA Supreme Court's Disciplinary Board
Philadelphia, PA - May 8, 2023 - Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that Principal Joseph N. Bongiovanni IV has been reappointed as a Hearing Committee Member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in District I. His reappointment is effective June 1, 2023, and expires June 30, 2026.
The Disciplinary Board was created by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to review conduct and assure compliance by all attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct. The Board assists the Supreme Court in the licensing and discipline of attorneys in Pennsylvania. Its mission is to protect the general public, maintain a high standard of integrity in the legal profession, and safeguard the reputation of the courts of Pennsylvania.
Hearing Committee members serve the Board as volunteers in their respective districts to conduct hearings and act as a formal reviewing body to determine if a case might move forward in pursuit of a particular course of discipline. Disciplinary Board members appoint approximately 150 Hearing Committee members for a term of three years and may be reappointed for a second three-year term.
