He has authored numerous articles on bad faith and regularly provided training to claims handlers and attorneys on the subject. He also serves as a volunteer mediator and testifying expert witness in insurance litigation where bad faith claims handling is alleged.
Jeff Brenner represents national and regional insurers in complex insurance coverage and bad faith disputes in numerous states. He provides a full spectrum of complex coverage legal representation, including coverage opinions, reservation of rights and denial letters, examinations under oath, and rescission, interpleader, and declaratory judgment actions.
Lisa Reilly counsels and defends regional and national multi-line insurance carriers in complex insurance coverage and bad faith matters. These include matters involving excess liability, general liability, and other policies.

Richard L. McMonigle, Jr. is Senior Counsel with the firm's Insurance Law Department. A former Principal and Past Chair of the Department, Mr. McMonigle has spent over three decades representing national clients in significant insurance coverage and claims compliance matters. In more than 25 years with Post & Schell, he has earned a stellar reputation defending insurance companies and their employees in litigation involving complex coverage issues, alleged bad faith, policyholder fraud, and life, health, and disability claims, and bringing such matters to an expedited and fair resolution.
Jeffrey M. Brenner is a Principal In the firm's Insurance Law Department and represents national and regional insurers in life and disability insurance in the ERISA context as well as novel annuity and structured settlement disputes. His ERISA litigation practice focuses on defending matters involving sophisticated preemption issues; fiduciary issues; fiduciary misrepresentation claims; prohibited transactions; Section 510 cases; benefit claims and challenges to health plans.
