PADONA Journal Publishes Articles on Medicare Recovery Auditors and Reducing HIPAA/Medicaid Risks Authored by Health Care Chair Paula Sanders
Health Care Chair Paula G. Sanders recently authored two articles for the Pennsylvania Association Directors of Nursing Administration/Long Term Care's (PADONA) Journal.
The first article, “Medicare Recovery Auditors Looking at SNF Psychiatric Conditions," examines a recently released study from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) that showed Medicare recovery auditors conduct five times as many audits as all other Medicare auditors combined.
The second article, "Recent Developments Offer Tips for Reducing Risks of HIPPA Violations and Medicaid Repayments," gives tactical tips on doing HIPAA risk assessments and document compliance for Medicare and Medicaid audits.
