Post & Schell Elects Attorney Robert J. Balch as Principal
Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that Associate Robert J. Balch has been elected as a Principal in the Firm’s Casualty Litigation Department. Mr. Balch has also been named as the lead Casualty Principal in the Firm’s Allentown, PA Office, serving the counties of the Lehigh Valley and Northeastern and Eastern Pennsylvania, including Lackawanna, Luzerne and Monroe.
As a Principal in Post & Schell’s Casualty Litigation Department, Mr. Balch focuses his practice on defending individuals and corporate entities in dram shop, products, and premises liability matters. His clients include bars, restaurants, fraternal organizations, clubs and property owners, as well as manufacturers of medical devices, electrical and component products, automobile manufacturers, and other manufacturers with international brands.
Mr. Balch’s representative matters include the defense of clients in litigation arising from allegedly defective products, alleged over-service of alcoholic beverages to patrons at a bar or restaurant, and incidents occurring on personal or business property such as assaults, falls, and other injury-causing events. These matters typically involve complex issues and often catastrophic injuries and damages, and he is frequently called upon to handle cases on short notice.

Mr. Balch, a 2006 graduate of Rutgers University School of Law, also holds a B.S. in Labor Industrial Relations from Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association, and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star in both 2013 and 2014 and achieved recognition on the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania’s Pro Bono Roll of Honor.
