Post & Schell Elects Seven New Principals in Harrisburg, Lancaster, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh Offices

PHILADELPHIA, PA – May 6, 2015 – Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that seven of the Firm’s Associates have been elected as Principals:

  • Stephen S. Bloomburg is now a Principal in the Firm’s Workers’ Compensation Department, resident in its Pittsburgh Office.
  • Marcie A. Courtney is now a Principal in the Firm’s Professional Liability and Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Groups, resident in its Philadelphia Office.
  • Darren M. Creasy is now a Principal in the Firm’s Employment & Employee Relations Practice Group, resident in its Philadelphia Office.
  • Matthew T. Newcomer is now a Principal in the Firm’s Internal Investigations & White Collar Defense Practice Group, resident in its Philadelphia Office.
  • Karyn Dobroskey Rienzi is now a Principal in the Firm’s Appellate Department, resident in its Philadelphia Office.
  • David W. Warburton is now a Principal in the Firm’s Workers’ Compensation Department, resident in its Lancaster Office.
  • Christopher T. Wright is now a Principal in the Firm’s Energy & Utilities Practice Group, resident in its Harrisburg Office.

Steve Bloomburg

As a Principal in the Firm’s statewide Workers’ Compensation Department, Mr. Bloomburg represents a wide array of clients, from national corporations to small, locally-owned businesses, in workers’ compensation matters. He has represented clients before Workers' Compensation Judges throughout western Pennsylvania, the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board, and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Marcie Courtney

Ms. Courtney, a Principal in the Firm’s Professional Liability Defense Department, focuses her practice on the defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, and other health care providers in complex cases involving catastrophic injuries with high financial exposure. She is a litigator, whose trial, arbitration and mediation experience includes the defense of health care providers in a diverse range of cases, including those involving alleged injuries and death from/due to: negligent medical care; the failure to diagnose and properly treat various medical conditions; and the failure to provide appropriate psychiatric care to mentally ill patients, among others. As a Principal in Post & Schell’s Employment & Employee Relations Practice Group, Mr. Creasy’s comprehensive labor and employment defense practice is focused primarily on civil actions arising under most major federal and state employment statutes, including: the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Titles I and III of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Title VII, and the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), among others. Chris Wright

As a Principal in the Firm’s Energy & Utilities Practice Group in Harrisburg, Mr. Wright represents major electric and gas utilities in state and federal regulatory and transactional matters before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PAPUC) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Mr. Wright has extensive experience in obtaining regulatory approvals for high voltage electric transmission facilities.
