The attorneys of Galli and Reilly join Post & Schell in the Firm’s Professional Liability Defense Department
Post & Schell, P.C., a leading industry-centric law firm, and Galli and Reilly, LLP, today announced that the attorneys of the law firm of Galli and Reilly, LLP have joined Post & Schell, P.C. and its Professional Liability Defense Department, resident in Post & Schell’s Philadelphia Office. Galli and Reilly, LLP partners Richard (Rick) R. Galli and Mary Ellen Reilly join Post & Schell as Principals, along with Mary Beth Morris and Thomas R. Chawluk, Jr. as Associates.
The attorneys of Galli and Reilly bring to Post & Schell and its clients accomplished and highly regarded professional liability defense trial experience, as well as established and highly regarded reputations in representing a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals, health care systems and providers in complex and high-stakes litigation and trial practice in both federal and state courts.
Galli and Reilly’s attorneys join Post & Schell's long-standing, highly regarded Professional Liability Defense Department, which represents health care providers in catastrophic, bet-the-bank litigation and trial practice in federal and state courts. The combined department, chaired by Post & Schell principal Don N. Camhi, will now be comprised of more than 20 attorneys, all of whom devote their entire practice to professional liability litigation and trial practice.
“This is a strategic addition to what is already one of the strongest professional liability departments in the Commonwealth,” said Brian M. Peters, president and chief executive officer of Post & Schell, P.C. “The critical intersection of quality care and patient safety with stringent reimbursement regulations, the federal False Claims Act and the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, and the ever-increasing employment of individual providers by health care enterprises, all create an imperative that health care providers receive and benefit from sophisticated, multi-disciplinary, and collaborative legal and regulatory counseling and defense litigation, trial and appellate expertise and experience.”
Peters continued, “The attorneys and clients of both firms will benefit from the extensive collaborative and multi-disciplinary culture practiced by Post & Schell and its nationally recognized Health Law, Employment, White Collar & Internal Investigations, Antitrust, and Appellate Law Practice Groups, combined with the trial and health care industry experience and acumen of the attorneys of Galli and Reilly.”
“Post & Schell was our firm of choice because of its industry-centric national focus, strategic practice diversification, and visionary and innovative management,” said Mary Ellen Reilly. “We have watched the continued development of the Firm into a provider of sophisticated legal services and continue to be very impressed by its strategic growth, diversification and management.”
