Post & Schell Principal Robert J. Balch Selected for Lehigh Valley Business Magazine's 2017 Forty Under 40 Awards
Allentown, PA – May 15, 2017 – Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that Principal Robert J. Balch has been named one of Lehigh Valley Business Magazine’s 2017 Forty Under 40 Award winners. The annual awards recognize “the Greater Lehigh Valley's most accomplished young businessmen and women who share a commitment to business growth, professional excellence, and to the community.”

Mr. Balch defends clients in litigation which frequently involves complex issues and catastrophic injuries in both state and federal courts. Based in Post & Schell’s Allentown, PA office, he is the lead Casualty Litigation Principal for the Firm in the Lehigh Valley area. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Firm’s Liquor Liability Practice Group, defending bars, restaurants, casinos, fraternal organizations, colleges, clubs, and property owners from allegations of improper alcohol service, lax security, hazing, and criminal conduct by patrons, employees, and guests.
Mr. Balch’s practice also includes defending clients involved in litigation arising from injuries occurring on property and representation of municipalities and academic institutions sued for personal injury, civil rights, and statutory violations. His products liability practice includes the defense of national and international manufacturers and distributors sued for civil damages stemming from consumer products, medical devices, and automobiles alleged to have been defective and caused injury.
An active member of his community, Mr. Balch is a recipient of the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania’s Pro Bono Roll of Honor Award for services provided to members of the community who were unable to afford legal representation.
Mr. Balch and the other award winners will be honored at a cocktail reception hosted by Lehigh Valley Business on June 15, 2017 at Bear Creek Mountain resort in Macungie, PA and in a special section of Lehigh Valley Business on June 19, 2017.
