Rob Balch and Anthony Knapp Secure Dismissal of Charges for Pro Bono Client in New Jersey
As part of Post & Schell's ongoing commitment to pro bono service, Principal Robert J. Balch and Associate Anthony M. Knapp of the Firm’s Allentown office secured the dismissal of all criminal charges against a client charged with criminal harassment and violation of a restraining order by means of electronic messaging.
The State of New Jersey dismissed all charges voluntarily in response to a Motion to Dismiss which demonstrated the proper, narrower scope of the applicable statutes and the state's attempt to stretch the statutes beyond its intended limits.
