Bio
Ryan L. Leonard is a Principal in the Firm's Casualty Litigation Department and counsels and defends clients in toxic tort, products liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation matters. His practice has a particular emphasis on the area of toxic tort defense with a focus on asbestos litigation and benzene and diacetyl cases. His clients include manufacturing, health care, insurance, and supplier companies. He is an experienced trial attorney and has taken several cases to verdict and litigated favorable results at arbitrations and trials.
Mr. Leonard also represents physician groups and medical professionals and defends them in professional liability claims and reviews regulatory agreements for compliance. He has extensive experience drafting complex contracts including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, leases, and subleases for commercial real estate and office space, and multifaceted contracts for vendor services.
Mr. Leonard has also appeared before the Worker’s Compensation Commission Board for claims appeals and attends appellate hearings before state unemployment boards and denials or reductions of Medicare coverage. He counsels clients on litigation strategies from initial assessment, written discovery, depositions, and motions, as well as providing guidance with legal compliance and consumer fraud matters.
